Singleton is a game about time. It is about finding time for the things that are important to you which are often neglected because of the ever-growing time pressure. For this purpose, a game is used instead of traditional methods like time management, weekly plans or to-do lists.
The app Singleton tracks how processes run until their target is achieved and furthermore detects where game-intern motivations factors work, or not. Does a game work as a counter-program to a plan? What do people want to achieve and what are their goals? To do this, the app measures the behavior of the players and records corresponding data, which are subsequently statistically evaluated. The data will show typical breakpoints, effects of interventions, playing time, choice of profiles, etc.
Singleton is a singleplayer game to help you achieve personal goals. From a research perspective, it is a study that captures the wishes and aspirations of the players as well as the processes for their fulfillment. Singleton has already been tested as a paper prototype and as a card game. Now an app version for smartphones is beeing developed. The aim is to publish a paper based on a statistical data evaluation. In addition, the app is to be released in the usual stores.
